Mariah Howard

MARIAH HOWARD

Mariah's been improvising and playing dress-up for as long as she can remember. She used her imagination and an extensive costume collection to transform into a variety of characters, from French novelists to door-to-door computer salesmen. When she’s not trying to keep up with her darling son, or attending graduate school to become an Expressive Arts Therapist, she’s thinking about improv. After leaving her home town of St.Louis, Missouri, Mariah made her way to Oakland in 2002 and promptly joined Drunken Monkey Improv, Tilted Frame, True Medusa, and Leela’s The Armando Company. In 2014 Mariah had one of the best ideas of her lifetime, inviting the extremely talented and totally adorable Claire Slattery and Fontana Butterfield to form an improv trio which they named, The Right Now. The Right Now has performed in local and national improv festivals and now they’re totally elated to be a part of Sonoma Laughfest!

BRIAN PALATUCCI

Brian hails from leafy, invariably pleasant Ridgewood, New Jersey, where he once appeared as Wilbur in a middle school production of Charlotte's Web. Brian abandoned the theater shortly thereafter. After graduating from Rutgers University, Brian moved to Los Angeles because winter is awful. Brian has appeared on the soap opera Passions (in a dream sequence!), and on the History Channel's historical reenactment show Days That Shook the World, as well as in numerous national ad campaigns, including that one for Wheat Thins where the yellow van drives around and confronts people who tweeted about Wheat Thins. No Joke. His work on the Wheat Thins campaign resulted numerous awards (none for him), as well as mentions in AdWeek and the New York Times, and a one-time stint as a presenter at the People's Choice Awards, where he almost met Johnny Depp, who he believes is "dreamy". Brian began studying at UCB Theater in 2009, and has appeared onstage in shows including Let's Do This, UCB Cagematch, Starpunch, Take It From Us, The Re-Imaginator, Squeeze Academy: Cops on the Loose, We're Gross with Gilli Nissim, the Del Close Marathon, and Not Too Shabby, as well as around the country with his improv team Squeeze. Josh has been performing on Harold night for over 4 years with Flap Jackson and The Great War. He also performs with The Twitter Show and a group he co-founded Werner Hotdog: The Documentary. He's done a lot of sketch writing as well, but you're not really interested in that, are you? Professionally, Josh has found a home on the Internet. He worked for over 2 years at Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Funny Or Die, where he wrote, produced and directed original comedy videos. He also answered phones and did accounting, but that would be stupid to include here. He left Funny Or Die in the Summer of 2010 after starting the Twitter account @BPGlobalPR in the wake of the BP Oil Spill. Josh used this fake Twitter account to satirize BP's absurd PR efforts in the wake of the spill. The account gained over 190,000 followers in a month and got write ups in Time Magazine, The New York Times, Fast Company and all the websites that your nerdy friends talk about. He even got to do a TED Talk at TEDxOilSpill in Washington D.C. It was absurd. Buy him (me) a beer sometime, and he'll (I'll) tell you all about it. Josh then spent a year and a half writing and producing original content for Conan O'Brien's website TeamCoco.com. He's currently freelancing, writing and teaching improv classes in Los Angeles and spending as much time as possible with his dog named Dre.

Ronnie Adrian

RONNIE ADRIAN

TV: Key and Peele (Comedy Central), Who Let The Dogs Out? (Hallmark Channel).

Ronnie hails from the great state of South Carolina. He is an actor\writer\improviser\musician and stand-up comedian. He would never actually say any of that to you if you asked him. The most you would get out of him is a meek "I do (insert single basic word to describe something)." Ronnie has done a commercial or two. And he has appeared on shows such as Key and Peele and Who Let The Dogs Out? a show on the Hallmark Channel. He played a Drill Sergeant. You can see him doing improv on Harold Night\Matinees at Upright Citizens Brigade and also at Tuesday Night Thunder, the longest running indie improv show in L.A. - a show he co-host with other members of his improv team, Thunderstruck. Also you can catch him around town having a blast doing stuff with his all-black, all-male improv\sketch team, White Women - a team that has performed on the stages of UCB, Second City, i.O. West as well as many others, with sketches featured on the front page of Funny or Die. Ronnie doesn't have a single career focus because he feels it's limiting. But the one thing he wants for himself in life is to "Just be happy." He spent a lot of his adult life not being happy and not doing the things he wanted to do. Hopefully that chapter of his life is over. Ronnie hopes one day he'll be good enough to be an improv teacher (That seriously is as far as his career scope realistically goes). Shout out to Jill Donnelly for believing in me early on!

Terry G. Dorsey is an accomplished stand-up comedian, improv artist, and actor. Being a native of the Chicago-land area he has preformed and trained with some of the top headliners working today. Some of his more notable credits include an appearance on BET Comic View, Chicago MGD Comedy Search (finalist), and showcasing at Jamie Foxx LAffapaloza (comic duo Tu-Shay De). In 2008 he dedicated his time to creating the Laff Zone Comedy Club in the Chicago suburbs. "Developing the Laff Zone was a dream turned nightmare...but what an amazing nightmare!" - TD. Moving forward from business developments he found opportunity in northern California to slow down and recreate his comedy image, dropping the pseudonym of "Shay'de" and using his actual name for the first time. "This is more than a name change, its me finally being myself onstage" - TD. Now residing in the Bay Area Terry is creating new lanes of entertaining. "Living in the Bay area has given me new perspective and allowed me to reach a more mainstream audience." - TD. Being trained in the streets of Chicago-land and now having the mainstream appeal of the bay makes Terry an even more valuable player in the ever evolving game of entertainment.

Will Primal Nuggets give up their comedic integrity and sell their dumb idea as a drama? Or will they hold strong and teach Hollywood a thing or two about comedy and friendship? You'll have to come watch Pimm's Girls' LAW & ORDER: POOP to find out.

THE DON'T WE BOYS - sketch from Grand Rapids, Michigan

Founded in 2010 and now an awkward teenager with a sense of adventure, The Don’t We Boys have toured over 30 states and been invited to comedy festivals in NYC, Seattle, Philly, Vancouver, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Asheville and more. Reviews say our show is, “…like reading a Choose Your Own Adventure book straight through, without skipping pages: inhumanly fast-paced and whimsical." We perform comedy the only way we know how: With a foot in the grave! Featuring Second City alum Joe Anderson, North Carolina’s AJ Schraeder and Michigan’s Sonny Pandit.

Joe Anderson

JOE ANDERSON

Joe Anderson is an award-winning comedian, director and writer. He won an MTV Comedy Competition, spent two years touring with The Second City comedy theater.
